The Contents Page
The word ‘contents’ will
take up just over half of the page, as this goes with the organized mess style of the page. The masthead will be on the right hand side
of the page at the same high of the title of the page (contents) this is so that it doesn't waste space but doesn't over crowd areas. The masthead
will be the same as on the cover, just smaller, I chose to do this as it as with magazines the masthead is their logo so it's not the best idea to change it's appearance on each page.
The date line is under the
title and is the same size as on the cover this has also been done to get some consistence through out the magazine. Under the date line is the column
of article titles and the numbers of the page that they are on. The numbers of
the pages will be on the left hand side of the page, this is different to most magazines as they normally have more than one column but I want to keep my magazine simple and easy for anyone to read. The titles of the articles
will be in line with the page number. Just under the title will be the name of
the person that wrote the article. Then under that there will be another
article and so on. I chose this as it is an easy layout to follow and it is easy to see what page any of the articles are on.
The images will run all do
the right hand side of the page. They will be overlapping each other, and I
chose to do this as it creates interest in the images themselves. At the bottom
of each of the images there is a page number and the title of the article. This
is so the reader knows what the photo is for and what the article that goes
with it is about. But not all of the images and the article titles in the column
will link up, this is so the contents page can shows the read a lot more articles then normally. Two of the images will be smaller than the others, this is simple because they look better being a little smaller with where they are no the page.
The page number is at the
bottom of the page on the left hand side, this is like other magazines but I
like the way that it look there.
