Image Choice
The image that you have used is very striking,
but it has nothing to do with music. But that helps it fit in with the other
magazines as their main images don’t normally have anything to do with music.
Masthead
I like the shadowing being just off to the
side of the masthead, as it make it look like the masthead has already got some
distance between it and the page, giving it a more 3D effect. And I liked your
fuzzy font.
Cover Lines
I like the font of main cover line. And I
like the contrast between the deep turquise colour of the background and the
white of two of the cover lines.
Colour Template
I love the blue in title and the turquoise that
was used for the background. But I feel that the purple doesn't fit very well
with the rest of the colour scheme.
Other Design Choices
I like the background being a crumpled piece
of coloured paper, as this makes it different to other magazines because they
all try too hard to make it look smooth and without a single crease.
Improvements
- Change colour of selling line
- Shape behind cover line is hiding the
pattern of the page
- Shape behind main cover line making it
shine.
