This image came out too dark
to be used on the front cover so I decided to do the rest of the photos in
medium light, because than I can use Photoshop to make the image darker for the
cover if I want.
I really like the way that
her full attention is on the camera, with that little all knowing smile showing
the intense black eye makeup that was used, just outlining them. I like the
bright red of her top, the sleeves and the way that her hair effortlessly falls
down over the front and back of her shoulders.
I like how she is leaning up
against the wall but still looking directly at the camera. I like the hair and
how the more of the red ribbon around her neck is showing in this shot. But I
don’t like how her position is hiding the red spider in her hair.
I proffer this necklace to
the smaller one, and I also like how the outlines of her eyes are intensified by
the makeup. The way that the sleeve goes right up to her wrist but still falls
towards the floor works really well with the Gothic feel of the image, because
they like the older styles and this is one of those styles.
I the fact that there is
more black in this image as that brings forward the Gothic side more on its own
and not so much of an under tone like
what I was looking for, so I will not use this one on my front cover. But I do
like the lace jacket hanging off the shoulders like that.
This one is too happy to be
that Gothic but it does fit in with the Nightcore and Techno side of the
magazine. But she isn’t looking at the camera, so if I do use the image I can’t
use it on the cover as this not the type of image that other magazines use on
their covers.
I really like the effect
that the light has done to the necklace, but the image is too big and too wide
to be on my front cover, and it is showing the label of the lace jacket. It is
also hiding the red spider in her hair but not that well.
I will not use this one for
my front cover for the same sort of reasons as the one above, but the necklace
is at a different angle so it is not picking up the light in the same way.
She is now wearing the style
of Techno Goth, this style is a little happier than just Gothic and it has some
more colours in its overall style but that is the only real differences between
Gothic and Techno Goth. You can’t really see the spider and the blue lace
around her neck. Her long black necklace works well with the style I think, but
I can’t use it as my cover image as she is not looking at the camera.
This one shows the style and
the spider a lot better but again I can’t use it for my cover as she is not looking
at the camera.
She is looking at the camera
but she is also hiding the spider behind her head. But I do like how she is
holding the lace jacket behind her back, but it would maybe look better if she
had it off the shoulders like before. And her black belt goes very well with
the corset.
I really like her expression
but I can’t use it for my magazine cover as she is not looking at the camera. But
it shows the layers in her hair well.
The jacket that she is wearing
no is more Gothic and she is looking at the camera. But she is hiding the spider,
but when I cut the image out I can make it look like it wasn’t there to begin
with.
I don’t really know if I like
this one or not, but I still can’t use it for my front cover as she isn’t
looking at the camera.
I like the way that most of
her hair is down her back and over one shoulder, and that there is only a
little over the closet shoulder. She is hiding the spider again, but I can sort
that out when I get this image onto Photoshop. And when you look at the image
your eyes are drawn to hers and that is because of the intense makeup, and the
contrast between the white in her eyes and the black of the eye liner. This is
the sort of effect that I am looking for, for the front cover of my magazine so
that it can easily get the attention of people that do and don’t read
magazines.
This image is too wide for
my front cover and she isn’t looking at the camera but I might use the image somewhere
else in the in my magazine.
This is an unusual position
and I like it but she is not looking at the camera so I can’t use it for my
cover, but I might use it somewhere else.
I like how she is focusing
on something different, and this makes it great for the contents page but if I
do make the double page spread article about my friend and not the other three
then I will not use it.
This photo is not as clear
as the other ones.
In this shot she is hiding
the two roses in her hair more.
This one just makes my
friend look kind of creepy but I took it to try some different angles.
This image looks simpler as
it doesn’t have a much as in the other images. All that it done have is the red
spider.
I really like this image of
her sitting on the stairs, as it shows the style, the two roses, and the blue
lace around her neck.
