The secrets to how an EMO magazine is designed. When they
make their magazines, they would stick to a black scheme as this is the colour
that EMO’s themselves like to wear. They would also have white as part of their
colour scheme as it makes the text easy to see. As they sick to the same sort
of colour scheme with each magazine that they make, it makes it easy to spot an
EMO magazine from just seeing the front cover. Another thing that helps is the
main image. For their main image they would use either an EMO or an EMO band.
It’s not that hard to work out if someone is an EMO. Because an EMO usual have
their arms covered all the time or you can easily see the slits on their wrists,
they also wear black all the time and rarely wear any other colours. They are
labelled as freaks that don’t value their life as much and they could take it
at any time.
The EMOs in magazines represent a dark and heavy burden
to be/become. Their dark wide eyed makeup normally takes forever to copy and
even the boys put a lot of effort into being, with their makeup too. The slits
on their wrists shows how close to the edge they are and the fact that they
normally go around in groups suggest that, they only stay because they stay in
it together.
Punk
There are bright colours but it all still comes back to
black. In their magazine they always use the colour black in their colour
schemes but they also use bright colours, like pink, yellow, white and so on.
They do this as it is the dress code of punk, as the like black and leather but
they also wear the brightest of colours. The magazines mostly use the colour
black as their background as this is the how it is seen on a person dress as a
punk, because they wear the black and it is always there but it is in the
background and the bright colours take the foreground.
The magazines represent being a punk as a strange thing
to be. This is because of the way that they have their hair and all of the
black mixed in with the bright colours. The black could represent that, like
the EMO they are down in the dumps. But they clearly want to be seen as they
wear the bright colours and the girls wear very short skirts.
Indie
What makes the indie look? In their magazines they use a
wide range of colour for their colour schemes. This is pretty much their style.
They dress in a range of colours and so this is used in the magazines. This
makes their magazines stand out very well against an EMO or Gothic magazine.
The different colours that they wear could represent that
they always want to be the centre of attention. And that they don’t real care
how they can it as they don’t how a particular style to what they wear.
Rock
What rocks those that dress with the style to rock? In
their magazines they use sharp colours like black and red as their colour
scheme. They wear some black but that much and it can be over powered by the
other sharp colours that they like to wear. They use this in magazines by
making the text big and bold, with solid sharp colours.
The sharp colours represent their personalities as they
like things to go their way and nothing ales. But the black represents their
dark imagination not that they want their world to be dark and meaningless.
Heavy metal
It’s all leather, coloured or just black. They wear a lot
of different colours, and some of them work better than others. But with their
magazines they are more intense with the main image of the cover than the
colour schemes matching the sort of styles that they wear.
The main image that they use represents how intense they
are with the ways that they live their lives and they like to stand out.
Goth
The fashion that has the style of the ages. The Goths
like to wear a lot of black and sometimes they wear other colours. They also
like to wear the older styles. For their magazines they use black backgrounds
and white text, so that the text is easy to read and it also shows their
proffered colour.
The black can represent there dark and lonely lives. And
the old styles represent how they proffer the older lifestyle to the ones that
you get now. The old fashioned writing that they used for the title also shows
how in they love the older ways of life.
